An athlete's first trading card should feel like the real thing. Getting there is a process, and every step matters — from the moment the photo is taken to the moment the card lands in someone's hand.
From photo to print
It starts with photography. A strong card needs a strong image: good light, a clean background, and a pose that captures how the athlete actually plays. From there, layout takes over — name, number, team, and season arranged so the design frames the athlete instead of competing with them.
Print quality is where a card earns its keep. Card stock, finish, and color accuracy separate a keepsake from a flimsy printout. For cards that need it, signing and authentication add another layer — a signed card with verified authenticity carries real meaning for the family holding it.
Modern cards can also do something paper alone never could: each card can carry a QR code linking to exclusive content, connecting the physical keepsake to highlights and moments beyond the card itself. The card in your hand becomes a doorway, not just a picture.
